Warranty Policy

Warranty Coverage

At Planet Parts, we stand behind the quality of the products we sell. This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship on products purchased directly from Planet Parts.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover failures caused by outside factors or conditions unrelated to the manufacturing of the part itself. Common examples include:

  • Fuel contamination
  • Improper installation
  • Incorrect application or tuning
  • Lack of supporting repairs or maintenance
  • Physical damage or abuse
  • Any outside mechanical issue that may affect the part

Any product that has been disassembled, modified, or tampered with will void warranty coverage.

Warranty Period

  • Select new and remanufactured injectors and pumps include a 2-Year Limited Warranty.
  • All other products include a 1-Year Limited Warranty
  • Applicable warranty period for item(s) will be stated in the item description of each product.

Warranty coverage begins on the original invoice date, applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

How Warranty Claims Are Handled

If a product fails during the warranty period, the part must be returned to Planet Parts for inspection and testing before any warranty determination can be made.

If our testing confirms a defect in materials or workmanship, Planet Parts will repair or replace the defective product or component at no charge.

Warranty coverage is parts-for-parts only. We do not issue refunds for installed or used products submitted under warranty.

Customers are responsible for shipping warranty items to Planet Parts for evaluation.

Non-Warrantable Parts

If testing shows the product is functioning within manufacturer specifications, or the failure was caused by contamination, improper installation, or another non-warrantable condition, the product will be returned at the customer’s expense.

In these situations, a cleaning/testing fee may apply.

Additional Important Information

Planet Parts cannot provide installation or technical repair services. Proper installation and diagnosis are the responsibility of the installer or repair facility.

Because every vehicle and repair situation is different, Planet Parts is not responsible for:

  • Labor costs
  • Diagnostic charges
  • Towing expenses
  • Vehicle downtime
  • Travel or lodging costs
  • Removal or reinstallation charges
  • Third-party testing fees
  • Any other incidental or related expenses

If you have questions regarding installation procedures or compatibility, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified diesel technician before installation.

How to Start a Warranty Claim

To begin a warranty claim, please contact Planet Parts at rma@planetparts.com before sending any products back. We’ll send you a Warranty Claim Request Form that must be completed and returned before the claim process can begin. Once received, our team will review the information and issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with return instructions.

Please do not send products back without an approved RMA, as unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.

Customers are responsible for shipping products to Planet Parts for warranty evaluation. Depending on the outcome of testing, return shipping charges may also apply. We strongly recommend properly packaging and insuring all shipments, as Planet Parts cannot be responsible for damage that occurs during transit.

Warranty Evaluation & Storage

Once your product is received, it will be inspected and tested to determine the cause of failure and whether the issue qualifies for warranty coverage.

After testing is completed, our team will contact you using the phone number or email address provided with your order or RMA request to explain the results and any applicable fees.

Because of limited storage space, products sent in for evaluation cannot be held indefinitely. Any products left unpaid, unclaimed, or without customer response for more than 90 calendar days after delivery to our facility may be considered abandoned. At that point, Planet Parts reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, rebuild, or otherwise repurpose the item(s).

Warranty Limitations

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only. While we stand behind the quality of our products, no warranty can cover every possible circumstance, especially when outside factors such as contamination, tuning, installation quality, or related vehicle issues can affect part performance.

Except for the Limited Warranty outlined above, products are sold without any additional guarantees or promises regarding compatibility, performance, or fitness for a specific use.

If a warranted product is determined to be defective, repair or replacement of the product is the sole remedy available under this warranty.

Liability Limitations

Planet Parts is not responsible for any indirect or additional costs associated with part failure or installation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Labor charges
  • Diagnostic fees
  • Towing expenses
  • Rental vehicles
  • Lost time or downtime
  • Travel expenses
  • Engine damage caused by unrelated issues
  • Any incidental or consequential damages

In all cases, Planet Parts’ maximum liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product in question.

Some states do not allow certain warranty or damage limitations, so portions of this policy may not apply to every customer.

State Law & Legal Venue

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary by state.

Any legal matters relating to this warranty or the products sold by Planet Parts shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with venue located in Duval County, Florida.
